To promote eco-friendly travel to Billie's "Hit Me Hard and Soft" tour stop in San Jose, the pop sensation has teamed up with Caltrain to offer a special 'Billie Car' for fans attending her Tuesday show at the SAP Center. As NBC Bay Area reports, this unique train car will transport fans and offer them the chance to snag some exclusive tour merchandise.
Set to depart from the San Francisco station at 5:19 p.m. on Tuesday, train 522, the 'Billie Car,' will operate as an express line, making select stops along the Peninsula before its final stop at the San Jose Diridon Station, as noted by NBC Bay Area. Stops include the 22nd Street, South San Francisco, Millbrae, San Mateo, Hillsdale, Redwood City, Palo Alto, Mountain View, and Sunnyvale stations, making it a convenient option for fans scattered across the region.
Courtesy should extend beyond the stage, and Eilish's initiative does just that. The collaboration with Caltrain appears to mirror the artist's advocacy for sustainability. Moreover, young fans are incentivized to use Caltrain's services with discounted fares—$1 each way or $2 for a day pass for those under 18, while groups of more than 15 can enjoy a 10% discount on their tickets. This information was confirmed by SFGate, who also mentioned that the special 'Billie Car' service is a one-day affair. It won't be in operation on the second day of Eilish’s performances in San Jose.
The last northbound train is scheduled to depart from the San Jose Diridon Station at 11:30 p.m. on both concert days. Riders can rest easy, knowing they have a reliable, if not star-studded, way to return home after enjoying the show.
