Charlotte authorities have followed through on an in-depth investigation into a fatal motor vehicle crash in the Steele Creek Division. According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's website, detectives from the Major Crash Investigation Unit identified the driver responsible for the incident and have taken action to bring justice for the victim.
Alan Ariel Melgar, aged 26, has consequently been arrested and charged with Felony Death by Vehicle following the investigation. After being taken into custody, he was presented before a Magistrate and later, turned over to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. As the investigation continues to actively unfold, officials seem to be determined to thoroughly look into every aspect of this crash.
