A pedestrian accident that occurred on North Sharon Amity Road in the Providence Division of Charlotte has resulted in a fatality. The incident took place on the evening of October 18, and involved 75-year-old Donald Foyster Tillman as the pedestrian who was critically injured. Local emergency services, including the Charlotte Fire Department and MEDIC, responded to the scene following the crash, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department reported.
After two months of battling his injuries, Tillman succumbed last Saturday. The Major Crash Investigation Unit of the CMPD relayed the information regarding Tillman's passing to the public, marking the case as one of the many that shine a light on pedestrian safety and road-sharing responsibilities.
