The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is actively seeking possible victims of a Chino Hills man, charged with child pornography offenses and alleged sexual misconduct with a minor. Timothy Holub, 35, was arrested following a reported tip from the Department of Children and Family Services claiming he engaged in illegal online interactions with a 16-year-old, as reported by KTLA.
According to a news release by the Sheriff’s Department, the investigation into Holub began on October 19, 2023, after receiving the initial alert about his behavior. The suspect used the online alias "httechtim5" during these communications, which were said to include requests for the minor to perform lewd acts. Holub’s arrest materialized nearly a month later, leading to his booking at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga.
Detectives have reason to believe that there could be more victims and, as part of their ongoing investigation, have released a photo of Holub for identification purposes. The specific charges include possession of child pornography, distribution or showing pornography to a minor, and contacting a minor for a sexual offense. His bail was set at $60,000, although it remains unclear if he has since been released from custody, as per KTLA.
The Sheriff's Department is urging the public, to come forward with any relevant information. Detective Michael Erwin of the Crimes Against Children Detail is the lead investigator on the case, and those with any leads are encouraged to contact him. For individuals wishing to provide information anonymously, calls can be made to the WeTip Hotline or tips left online, at www.wetip.com, as stated by the Sheriff’s Department.
