Chaos erupted near Southlake Town Square last month when a 19-year-old man caused a severe multi-vehicle crash before firing shots, prompting an extensive police response. The suspect, identified as Sean Jordan of Colleyville, exhibited violent and combative behavior during and after his arrest, according to officials. FOX 4 News reported that Jordan, at one point, "tried to bite officers multiple times" and required sedation to subdue his aggression.

Surveillance footage captured bystanders scattering as gunfire struck the pavement behind them. The incident occurred on the morning of Nov. 22 and began with calls to Southlake police about a gold van driving the wrong way. The standoff concluded with no reported injuries, but not before Jordan fired an AK-style rifle at a man and was met with return fire from a responding officer. Court documents revealed that officers eventually restrained Jordan to a chair at the Jail after he continued to be combative, WFAA reported.

Throughout the ordeal, police discovered multiple weapons at the scene, including a rifle found next to Jordan's van and a handgun within. "An officer rode in the backseat with Jordan to jail in order to hold his arms to keep him from unbuckling his seatbelt," stated court documents obtained by FOX 4 News. The affidavit from WFAA detailed how Jordan, even while handcuffed in the backseat of a patrol car, attempted to kick open the door and remained a threat to officers' safety.

Currently, Jordan is facing multiple charges, according to law enforcement officials. These include aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault of the peace officer, and resisting arrest. He remains in custody at Tarrant County jail while the investigation into the circumstances of that chaotic day continues. In the wake of the incident, an examination of the rifle and handgun, along with bullet casings collected from the roadway, is part of the ongoing forensic analysis to establish a fuller picture of the events.
