A 30-year-old man was left dead after an early morning yesterday shooting on Christmas in the Linden area of Columbus, according to WBNS. The man, identified as Demetris Mitchell, was found by Columbus police officers responding to reports of gunfire at approximately 9:40 a.m. on the 1700 block of East Weber Road.
Details from the scene indicated that Mitchell had suffered an apparent gunshot wound. Though he was rapidly transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital, his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced deceased at 10:29 a.m. The suspect, reportedly firing from an unidentified maroon Ford, fled the location following the incident and currently remains at large, as highlighted by The Columbus Dispatch.
