The Columbus Division of Police has now shared the details of a vehicle theft incident that occurred on the 200 block of Cliffside Dr. The report, released to the public, recounts that on November 18, around 1:46 p.m., two suspects were captured on surveillance footage casually testing car doors until they stumbled upon one that was left unsecured. Their search was rewarded, one suspect found a key fob inside, and they made off with the victim's vehicle – a bold theft carried out in broad daylight.
This case has caused considerable alarm in the Columbus community because of its brazenness and the ease with which the suspects victimized an unsuspecting car owner. In response, the authorities have disseminated photographs of the suspects taken from the footage in hopes that members of the public might recognize the individuals responsible for the automobile's theft.
