Seguin Public Library’s Connie Gomez has been named ‘Employee of the Month’ for September 2024. Her quick response in emergencies and dedication to her role have made her a key figure at the library, helping to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone, according to the City of Seguin.
Connie was nominated for her handling of two important incidents. The first involved an elderly library patron who fell and sustained a severe arm injury; Connie provided first aid. Soon after, she helped an unconscious man, offering comfort until paramedics arrived, as reported by the City of Seguin.
Connie Gomez plays an important role in making the Seguin Library a key part of the community. As the nominator said, "There are many ways Connie cares for those who come through our library doors - whether they need knowledge in many forms or a place to connect with other people through an event, she is a big part of why the library is the heart of Seguin." In a recent photo, Connie was joined by Assistant Library Director Hannah Farmer, Library Director Silvia Christy, and City Manager Steve Parker, showing the teamwork that helps keep the library a strong community resource, as stated by the City of Seguin.
