
Inset Johns County, a construction worker has been rescued from a precarious situation after falling into a 10-foot deep trench. According to First Coast News, the incident occurred on the 2900 block of International Golf Parkway; first responders arrived at the scene around 2 p.m. this past Friday.
St. Johns County Fire Rescue's Technical Rescue Team, equipped with specialized training and equipment, managed to securely extract the trapped worker and initiate the necessary medical assessment on-site after which the worker was swiftly transferred to a local hospital where it was reported they are in stable condition, Action News Jax adds.
Witnesses and onlookers were undoubtedly relieved as the team, showing both skill and urgency, ensured the worker's safety. Reflecting on the rescue operation, St. Johns County Fire Rescue posted on Facebook saying, "Our highly trained Technical Rescue Team, along with other on-scene units, worked swiftly and safely to extricate the individual."
