A young man's life was tragically cut short in Dallas this week following a shooting that occurred in the 5800 block of Stretch Drive. As reported by the Dallas Police Department, the officers responded to the incident around 8:50 p.m. on Thursday. Upon arriving at the scene, authorities discovered 21-year-old Xavien Minnitt with gunshot wounds.
Dallas Fire and Rescue were summoned, and despite their prompt arrival, Minnitt was pronounced dead at the scene. With the investigation still in its early stages, law enforcement is calling for anyone with information to step forward. The case, filed under number 185700-2024, remains open and ongoing.
