A fatal shooting occurred on the 7500 block of Chaucer Place late Monday night. Dallas Police were called to the scene around 11:30 p.m. where they found 36-year-old Oliver Moffett with gunshot wounds. Despite efforts, Moffett succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Dallas Police have since taken one individual into custody who was discovered at a local hospital, the specifics of their connection to the incident, however, remain unclear. According to the Dallas Police Department, the suspect's identity will remain withheld until formal booking procedures at the jail are completed, the cause for their hospitalization has not been publicized either.
The incident is being investigated under case number 191197-2024 by the Dallas Police Department. Authorities are actively seeking additional information to aid in their investigation. Detective P.
