The incident took place at approximately 12:55 a.m. in the 3100 block of Gulden Lane. Officers were dispatched in response to a call and discovered 26-year-old Elliot Jimenez suffering from gunshot wounds.
According to the Dallas Police Department, the preliminary investigation has yet to reveal the identity of the suspect responsible for the shooting. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the scene and transported Jimenez to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
