The search for 28-year-old Tejan Ahmed Gbassah, who had been missing since last Wednesday has come to a positive conclusion as the Dallas Police Department successfully located him last Saturday night. In a social media post shared by the Mesquite Police Department, the police extended their gratitude to all parties involved, stating, "Gbassah was located by the Dallas Police Department last night after officers recognized him from our BOLO. We appreciate the assistance of all those involved in reuniting Gbassah with his family."
Gbassah, who was reported missing from his residence last Wednesday had last been seen at the Garland P.D. station last Thursday, where he inadvertently gave his name as "Ahmed Tejam." He was noticed by Dallas officers, thanks to a Be On the Lookout (BOLO) alert issued previously by Mesquite Police. Donning a black hoodie/jacket akin to the clothing shown in the image below, he was last seen leaving the station.
The case raised concerns as Gbassah was described as having "a diminished mental capacity" and the capacity for only broken sentences in communication. When he initially went missing, the Mesquite Police were earnest in their appeal for public assistance to find the missing man, providing a phone number for any leads.
