A violent outbreak in Seattle's Lake City neighborhood on Wednesday evening culminated in a deadly shooting, resulting in one fatality and another individual hospitalized. According to the Seattle Police Department's blotter, the incident occurred around 5:21 pm in the 12000 block of 33rd Avenue Northeast.

Upon their arrival, police found a 41-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers provided immediate aid before the Seattle Fire Department arrived and took over, transporting both victims to Harborview Medical Center, as detailed by the SPD. The male victim, unfortunately, did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The female, now in stable condition, is currently being held for investigation of assault. The Seattle Police did not release the names of either the deceased or the female in custody.

Witnesses described a disturbance involving the victims and an unidentified third man, who fled on foot following the gunfire. The scene was promptly secured by officers, and a search ensued for the escaped individual, though he had yet to be located. Seattle’s Homicide detectives, along with the Crime Scene Investigation Unit, are working meticulously to unravel the events leading up to the violence, as per the SPD.
