
The DeKalb County Board of Ethics will hold its regular public meeting at 6 p.m. on Thursday at 178 Sams Street, Room A1201-A & B, in Decatur, Georgia. The meeting's agenda will cover various aspects of the county's ethical climate.
According ot the DeKalb County website, the agenda includes administrative tasks such as adopting the agenda, approving previous minutes, and reviewing an ethics officer's report. A proposal for the 2025 budget and meeting calendar will also be discussed. Notably, proposed changes to the DeKalb County Ethics Code will be reviewed.
A preliminary case hearing will feature one Robert Sims versus the DeKalb County Fire Department, the particulars of which remain yet as a whisper amongst the bureaucratic winds. In addition, the board welcomes public comments.
After the public comments, board members will share their reflections on the evening's proceedings. They will then move into an executive session to discuss pending litigation and personnel issues. The session will include motions to convene, adjourn, and approve the executive session affidavit.
Concluding the meeting's business, the announcement of the next meeting date will be made, scheduled for January 16. The final act of the night will see the meeting adjourned.
