Denver residents are experiencing various weather conditions today, from brisk winds to mostly sunny skies. According to the National Weather Service, the current forecast is mostly sunny, with a high near 52, despite the morning chill, where temperatures hovered around 28 degrees Fahrenheit, with a wind chill making it feel much colder, at 19 degrees Fahrenheit.
Gusty winds have been a factor, particularly in the Front Range Mountains and higher foothills, with gusts reaching up to 60 mph this morning. Even the urban corridor wasn't exempt from the force of the wind, with gusts of 30 mph brushing against the city buildings. The forecast for tonight predicts a drop in temperature, settling around a low of 26 degrees, with continued breezy conditions under a mostly cloudy sky.
Looking ahead, a pattern of partly sunny days is expected to continue with Thursday and Tuesday both seeing a high near 52 degrees. However, Fridays usually bring about a change with a 20 percent chance of snow showers after 11 am and a dip in temperature to a high near 47.
The upcoming weekend promises a reprieve from the shivering weekday mornings, forecasting a mostly sunny Saturday with a high near 55 degrees. Despite the positive outlook, residents should be aware that Sunday into Monday might see light mountain snow and breezy conditions for higher elevations, according to the hazardous weather outlook issued by the National Weather Service.
