
Detroit Police are on the hunt for a suspect after a home on the west side of the city became the target of vandalism involving a firearm. According to WWJ Newsradio, authorities released security footage showing an unidentified man using a long gun to shatter the front window of a residence in the 16700 block of Prevost.
The incident, which did not result in any physical injuries, occurred in the early hours of Monday, October 28. The suspect, recorded on video at around 2:30 a.m., approached the house, used the butt of the gun to smash the window, and subsequently escaped on foot. Residents of the Greenfield and W. McNichols area have been alerted and are urged by police to come forward with any identifiable information that might lead to an arrest.
Detroit Police Department's 8th Precinct is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the man behind the malicious destruction. Anyone with knowledge about the suspect or details of this crime—specifically being investigated under case number 2410280040—is encouraged to contact the precinct at 313-596-5840, or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak Up (800-773-2587).
