Attention, Diamond Lake residents: the scent of construction is in the air. CenterPoint Energy crews are digging in, continuing their mission to enhance the neighborhood's natural gas infrastructure. If you've noticed service trucks and hard hats near your front lawn, here's what's happening.
Upgrades to service lines are underway, with connections to the new main in progress and gas meters are being relocated to the great outdoors, aiming at heightened safety and a streamlined access for maintenance. With one team wrapping up on Oakland Avenue, their attention has now turned to the 59th and 60th blocks of Park Avenue. Meanwhile, the second crew is keeping busy on Clinton Avenue, between Chester Street and 58th Street E.
A map detailing these efforts can be viewed on CenterPoint Energy's latest communication. Keeping up with the changes, or simply curious as to what's brewing beneath the sidewalks? Give it a gander by clicking here.
