
Authorities in Harris County are investigating a car found submerged in a neighborhood pond after a woman was arrested for suspected drunk driving. The woman, charged with DWI, said her boyfriend might have been in the car when it went into the water. The incident occurred on Friday morning in the 7100 block of Avalon Bend Circle. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team is checking if anyone else was in the car, according to Click2Houston.
Deputies from Harris County Constable Precinct 4 were the first to respond after a car went into a pond. The woman involved said she wasn’t sure if her boyfriend was in the car when it sank. Dive teams are searching for the car and checking for any other people inside. The cause of the incident is still under investigation, as stated by by Click2Houston.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez mentioned on social media that the driver might have been drunk and forgot her boyfriend was with her.
