Beaver County residents were confronted with an unexpected disruption last night after a tractor-trailer collided with a tollbooth on Interstate 376. The incident at the Chippewa Interchange resulted in significant structural damage and a consequential fuel spill that led to the temporary closure of the interstate. According to reports from WPXI, both the tractor-trailer and the tollbooth sustained considerable damage in the crash just before 7 p.m.
The tractor-trailer driver and his service dog were transported to a medical facility in Beaver, the Chippewa Township Volunteer Fire Department confirmed, as reported by WTAE. Details were scarce, but the driver's injuries were said not to be life-threatening.
