
Two individuals have been hospitalized following a blazing fire that consumed their home in Clearwater, as emergency responders battled the early morning inferno. FOX 13 News reported that Clearwater Fire & Rescue crews arrived at the Franklin Street residence around 4:30 a.m. yesterday, finding the structure engulfed in flames.
The fire's intensity necessitated additional support from firefighters to thwart the threat it posed to neighboring homes; the effort succeeded in preventing the spread of the flames according to ABC Action News. The two individuals were swiftly taken to a local hospital for evaluation, their current state undisclosed beyond their transportation and initial treatment.
WTSP provided the additional grim detail that a dog was discovered deceased in the aftermath of the fire; meanwhile, another dog was reported to have escaped the blaze safely. Officials have yet to determine the cause of the fire. Information regarding the progression of the investigation into the cause of the fire is anticipated to be released in due course.
