Enid residents and commuters should brace themselves for a little extra traffic as North 10th Street is set to close for a stretch of roadway between East Oak Avenue and East Walnut Avenue. This shutdown, announced by the City of Enid, is due to needed concrete repairs and is scheduled to take place from Wednesday, December 4th all the way through Friday, January 17. According to the City of Enid announcement, the closure should help contractors to seamlessly complete the next phase of their work, assuming the weather plays nice.
With the road closure now imminent, transportation officials are encouraging motorists to responsibly detour and to follow the posted traffic control signs. They've also advised drivers to exercise extreme caution when navigating through the area during the construction period. "There will be a road closure on a portion of North 10th Street from East Oak Avenue to East Walnut Avenue allowing contractors to complete the next phase of concrete work," highlighted the City of Enid notice.
