Last Saturday, Fairfield Police swiftly responded to a burglary at a business on the 1200 block of Travis Boulevard, as the department reported in a recent social media post. According to the Fairfield Police Department's Facebook page, the incident unfolded around 5:55 am. A surveillance company monitoring the premises alerted authorities to two men armed with crowbars breaking into the establishment.
The responding officers apprehended the duo as they exited the office with an assortment of stolen credit cards, an act captured by the watchful eyes of the surveillance operation set up to guard the business’s assets. This quick thinking by the company employees allowed for the immediate dispatch of law enforcement, and thus, the would-be thieves found themselves in handcuffs instead of making their escape. Both individuals were arrested without incident and transported to the Solano County Jail, where they face burglary charges.
Further details about the identities of the suspects or the business targeted have not been released.
