In a recent incident, Fairfield Police utilized a drone to locate a missing autistic teenager. The adolescent, who had been reported missing last Wednesday, was found safe after an aerial search by a drone equipped with thermal imaging capabilities.
The 16-year-old was reported missing from the 4700 block of Business Center Drive in Fairfield, prompting a swift response from the police department. Officer Swoyer, as detailed by a Facebook post by the Fairfield Police Department, effectively used a drone to comb the area.
The missing child was discovered hiding in a heavy brush in an open field, a location that might have been challenging to search on foot. Following the discovery, the police swiftly reunited the child with his family.
