As reported by KCRA, the California Highway Patrol confirmed that the individual was attempting to cross Marconi Avenue near Lacy Lane but unfortunately crossed in front of a westbound car.
The collision, which took place around 5:30 p.m. along the 3000 block of Marconi Avenue, ended with the pedestrian being pronounced dead at the scene. The CHP, in their statement, has indicated that alcohol was not believed to be a contributing factor in this incident, according to ABC10.
