A fatal pedestrian accident occurred in Honolulu's Nuuanu neighborhood on Monday afternoon. The collision took place around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Vineyard Boulevard and Pali Highway. Honolulu Police and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene where a car struck a woman who was crossing the street, according to KHON2.

A woman in her 60s was hit by a car while crossing a marked crosswalk against a 'Do Not Walk' sign on Pali Highway. The 37-year-old driver was traveling north when the accident occurred. Emergency responders provided trauma care at the scene, as reported by Hawaii News Now. 

A woman was seriously injured in a crash and later died at the hospital. The eastbound lanes of Vineyard Avenue were closed for hours while police investigated. Authorities say speed, drugs, and alcohol were not factors. This is the 46th traffic death on Oahu this year, down from 52 last year. The driver, who was not injured, is cooperating with police. The investigation is ongoing, as stated by Hawaii News Now.
