
This morning, a tragic incident unfolded on Bennett Valley Road, near Gardner Ranch Road, that claimed the life of a female driver. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) - Santa Rosa unit reported a solo vehicle crash involving a Chrysler 300. According to a social media post by CHP - Santa Rosa, the accident occurred at approximately 12:26 am.
Initial findings from the CHP suggest that the vehicle was traveling westbound when the driver lost control. The Chrysler then drifted off the road before eventually overturning and colliding with a tree. Fire personnel, together with CHP officers, responded to the scene to find the overturned vehicle and the sole occupant, who was pronounced dead at the site. The identity of the deceased is currently withheld, pending notification of next of kin, and further inquiries are being deflected to the Sonoma County Sheriff Coroner's Office.
The Santa Rosa CHP is now reaching out to the public for assistance in shedding light on the circumstances that led up to the fatal crash.
