Five people were arrested in Detroit after an Amazon delivery driver was robbed on Tuesday evening on the 5700 block of Courville. Three suspects took packages from the driver and fled in a dark SUV, as stated by The Detroit News.
Authorities were quickly notified, and both the Michigan State Police and Detroit Police Department responded. A state police helicopter helped track the suspects and their vehicle. After a chase, the SUV crashed, and the five suspects fled on foot but were arrested later that night, as reported by Audacy.
According to the MSP Second District on their X account, Michigan State Police shared aerial footage showing suspects briefly entering an Eastpointe address before fleeing again. The helicopter’s live feed helped officers track them until their vehicle crashed. Stolen packages were found in the SUV. The Michigan State Police Second District posted, “These suspects won’t be playing the grinch anymore!” The suspects are awaiting charges.
