Seattle's Chinatown-International District became the site of an early morning shooting, leaving five individuals wounded, as Seattle Police detectives are actively piecing together the circumstances of the incident.

According to the SPD Blotter, gunfire broke out around 3:48 a.m. in the 800 block of South Lane Street, arriving officers did not locate victims initially however four of the victims, arriving in private vehicles, and a fifth victim called 911 from a different location were all found to be associated with the shooting, their wounds ranged from minor to serious, with one man undergoing emergency surgery.

Evidence including multiple shell casings was retrieved from a nearby hookah lounge, indicating the location as one of interest, no suspects have been apprehended in connection with the shootings; the Gun Violence Reduction Unit has taken the helm of this ongoing investigation.
