A road rage incident escalated into a violent collision yesterday, resulting in a rollover crash and hospitalizing four people on San Antonio's South Side. According to KSAT, the confrontation began at the Poteet Flea Market, where two groups were involved in an altercation. The cause of the initial argument is still unknown.
The altercation led to a chase along the Southeast Loop 410 access road near Roosevelt Avenue. The vehicles collided multiple times around 4:15 p.m. Authorities are investigating to determine the primary aggressor, and the confrontation ended with both vehicles flipping over, causing significant injuries.
Headtopics noted that a 48-year-old man, the sole occupant of one vehicle, was rushed to a local hospital with life-threatening conditions. The other vehicle, which carried a man and his two children, were also taken to the hospital for treatment and are expected to recover from their injuries.
Following the incident, traffic was heavily impacted as the eastbound access road of Southeast Loop 410 and the exit ramp at Roosevelt Avenue were closed for several hours.
