Today, the Fremont Unified School District (FUSD) was the recipient of a threatening email alleging the presence of explosive devices within its schools, as well as across other schools in the Bay Area. According to a social media post from the Fremont Police Department, this threat mirrors similar instances from the past, and it is believed that the email may have been mass sent to multiple districts in the region.

Despite the alarming nature of the email, Fremont Police have found no evidence to corroborate the claim of explosives at any FUSD schools. The District, therefore, has not initiated evacuations or closures.
Fremont Police are actively working with federal agencies, conducting walkthroughs with School Resource Officers (SROs), and utilizing random sweeps by an Explosive Ordinance Detection (EOD) Canine for increased security and peace of mind.
