Residents should note the modified city schedules as Frisco preps for the holiday season. According to a recent announcement by the City of Frisco, several city facilities will see closures on key dates, giving a well-earned break to the workforce fueling our beloved community's services. Frisco's administrative offices, municipal court, fire safety town, and central fire administrative office are set to close their doors on December 24 and 25 and New Year's Day.
Waste collection services will also take a holiday, suspending curbside pickups on Christmas and New Year's Day. To quickly adjust, the city will delay pickups by one day following the holidays, though Monday and Tuesday schedules shall remain unchanged. Regular trash collection routines are slated to resume on January 6.
Those looking to return books during the festive pause won't be left in a bind—the Frisco Public Library's drive-thru book return will remain accessible despite enclosure on December 24, 25, and January 1. In a nod to the end of the year, the library will shut its doors early at 6 p.m. on New Year's Eve.
For fitness enthusiasts, the Frisco Athletic Center plans to briefly halt operations on December 24, 25, and January 1, in addition to an early closure at 5 p.m. on the eve of both holidays. Frisco's Discovery Center, Heritage Center, and The Grove at Frisco Commons will follow similar suit, suspending services on the aforementioned public holidays.
