A Frisco Lyft driver is recovering from a life-threatening injury after an alleged aggravated robbery turned violent earlier this week. According to the City of Frisco, the victim, who has opted to remain anonymous, was found wounded in an apartment complex parking lot on Monday.

The driver was reportedly attacked around 5:44 p.m. at the Legends at Legacy apartments at 3700 Legacy Drive. They sustained a neck laceration when an assailant, later identified as Antwain Williams, a 19-year-old resident, allegedly assaulted them and then absconded with their vehicle. Efforts made by various responding teams were critical in ensuring the victim did not fatally succumb to their injuries and were transported to the hospital in stable condition.

In their pursuit of justice, the Frisco Police Detectives uncovered the suspect's identity and made a breakthrough, locating the stolen vehicle. A chase ensued, initially ending with the suspect's trail being lost near 423 and Rockhill. Nevertheless, a coordinated effort involving multiple agencies eventually led to Williams' capture after a subsequent car and foot pursuit.

Williams faces serious charges, including Aggravated Robbery and evading arrest in both a vehicle and on foot, and was also found to have an outstanding warrant related to a Sexual Performance by a Child offense.

The investigation by Frisco Detectives is ongoing, and they are urging anyone with additional information to contact the Frisco Police Department at 972-292-6010. Anonymous tips can be sent by texting FRISCOPD and the tip to 847411 (tip411) or through the Frisco PD app.
