
Garland city employee Mike Paschall has been recognized as Dallas County's City Partner of the Year, a commendation highlighting the significant contributions he has made in his role as the Right of Way Coordinator, particularly with his work on the Rowlett Road Multimodal Connection Project. This acknowledgment was part of the County’s Utility and Partner Award Breakfast held on November 20.
According to the City of Garland, Paschall was instrumental in facilitating discussions and expediting critical permit processes for utility partners, tasks crucial to preempting the construction of the new trail. His efforts, noted by Dallas County for his "steadfastness and even temperament," have been key in settling conflicts that arose during field meetings with a variety of stakeholders. His tenure stretches over 19 years with the City of Garland, and, this acknowledgment confirms his long-term commitment to the city's infrastructure and development.
Dallas County's official statement cited Paschall's ability to coordinate with various entities as one of the main reasons for his selection for the award. He exemplified notable efficiency in handling the relocations necessary during the review phase and ensuring that the groundwork was laid promptly for all involved parties.
Paschall is set to be further recognized for his achievements at the upcoming Dallas County Commissioners’ Court meeting on February 18, underscoring his notable career with the City of Garland.
