
In a brazen act of thievery, a Gig Harbor marijuana dispensary was struck by burglars who used a vehicle as a makeshift battering ram. The Gallery, a cannabis outlet situated at 14122 92nd Ave NW, was targeted early this morning at 4:53 a.m., as reported by authorities. According to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department Blotter, deputies, answering a commercial burglary alarm call, discovered a Hyundai Sonata that had been backed into the storefront, leaving extensive structural damage behind.
The incident left the building damaged during a spree of similar crimes. Suspects escaped under cover of night. Deputies and Gig Harbor Police searched the Gallery but found nothing. At the time, the vehicle was not reported stolen, as per the Pierce County Sheriff's Department Blotter.
While the perpetrators remain at large, the damage inflicted on the small business leaves an open wound in the community. Local law enforcement is now appealing to the public for any information regarding the incident that could lead to the apprehension of the culprits. To gather leads, authorities are requesting that those with knowledge come forward, requesting, "If you have any information about this incident, please send us a message or submit a tip through our app," the Pierce County Sheriff's Department stated.
