WBNS that the attempted abduction occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday when a man allegedly tried to forcibly take the woman towards a vehicle in a parking lot off Baldwin Drive.

The woman was on her way to a residence when the attacker, who donned a surgical-type mask, grabbed her from behind, according to statements obtained by the ABC6 news team. After she managed to escape his grasp, she immediately fled the scene while the suspect moved towards the parking lot, where a car was believed to be waiting. The suspect was described as a man approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and 190 pounds, with dark hair, a light, tan-colored sweater, and dark-colored pants.

In the wake of the attempt, police have stepped up their search efforts. The Grandview Heights Division of Police is asking the public for assistance. They released a surveillance photo of the suspect vehicle, a gold Chevrolet Cruz, which was circling the area before quickly departing following the reported attempt. The car's image surfaced through footage captured by cameras in the vicinity, an occurrence borne out by reports from NBC4i.

Community members who may have witnessed the incident or anything unusual are urged to come forward.
