A Gresham woman has succumbed to injuries days after being shot in a dispute that reportedly began over loud music. The shooting, which transpired in the early morning hours at a Gresham apartment complex parking lot, turned fatal after the victim, identified as Henson, was hit in the head by a bullet and later died in the hospital.
As per KOIN, the incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. when Henson and her boyfriend approached a couple regarding their loud music. During what escalated into a heated confrontation, Henson's boyfriend is said to have deployed pepper spray against Kellum. Kellum allegedly responded by discharging his firearm three times, striking Henson and ultimately, leading to injuries she could not overcome.
The aftermath of the shooting has seen the arrest of the alleged gunman, Kellum, who initially faced charges of attempted murder and first-degree assault. With Henson's subsequent death, additional charges are now anticipated. "Kellum was arrested at the scene and originally charged with attempted murder and first-degree assault," as stated by KPTV. He is expected to appear in court on Thursday for these increased allegations.
