Deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office performed a traffic stop on Friday, in the 9900 block of the Westpark Tollway, where they encountered Nguyen who appeared to be under the influence.
Following the stop, Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered. Nguyen, failing to successfully pass these tests, was then transported to the Harris County Jail. Here, a breath sample was obtained to further support the deputies' assessment. According to a Facebook post by Precinct 4, "Richard Nguyen was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated."
The constable's announcement also included the information that, at the time of the report, the bond and court details for Nguyen had not been established.
