
Chaos erupted in a Henderson neighborhood following a family disturbance that escalated into a standoff situation last night. According to News 3 LV, the incident, which took place in the 3000 block of Lumassina Way, resulted in one person being taken into custody. Henderson Police responded to the call around 7:03 p.m., after which the situation quickly intensified.
Identified by authorities as Steven Wilbanks, the 30-year-old man barricaded himself within the residence, requiring intervention from the Henderson SWAT and Crisis Negotiation Team. After the closure of nearby streets, including a portion of Lumassina Way near Bicentennial Parkway, the standoff drew to a close with the suspect's arrest. The Henderson Police, amidst the cacophony of the scene, managed to bring the situation under control.
Both News 3 LV and KTNV report that Wilbanks sustained injuries and was subsequently transported to the hospital. His condition was described as stable. A victim also received treatment for injuries and has since been released from the hospital. The nature of the altercation and the specifics of the injuries incurred by either party were not immediately released.
