Common Ground Pottery is opening a second studio in Southwest Las Vegas this September, and it's coming in roughly three times the size of the Henderson original that filled up its membership list almost as soon as it opened. Owner Meg Mashore says the new location near the 215 and Flamingo will mirror the same lineup of classes, camps and memberships that made the first studio a hit, just with a lot more room to work.
Mashore's Henderson studio, located at 10895 S. Eastern Ave., Suite 160, opened in April 2025 and quickly filled its memberships, according to Common Ground Pottery. As reported by KTNV, the studio now sees hundreds of people coming through on average, a pace that pushed Mashore to limit membership and create a waitlist rather than let the space get overcrowded.
That crunch is what's driving the move into Southwest Las Vegas. Per the station's report, Mashore said the Southwest was a natural choice for the studio's expansion, and the new space near the 215 and Flamingo is being built out to be roughly three times the size of the Henderson location.
Same Classes, Much Bigger Room
The new studio won't reinvent the wheel — the report notes it will offer the same lineup of programs as the original Henderson studio, including one-time classes, kids' classes and kids camps alongside its membership options. The area's demographics look like a strong fit for that mix: Southwest Las Vegas has many families and schools, per the same account.
Common Ground Pottery is currently constructing the new Southwest Las Vegas studio, with a grand opening celebration planned once it's ready. That celebration will include local vendors, giveaways, demonstrations and a chance for visitors to meet the Common Ground Pottery team, the article notes.
Mashore isn't taking the turnout for granted this time around. She told KTNV that the studio was unprepared for the line of people at its grand opening in Henderson, a lesson that may shape how the team plans for opening day in the Southwest.
A Studio Bet on Vegas's Fastest-Growing Corner
The timing lines up with a broader shift happening along the 215 Beltway. Southwest Las Vegas has emerged as one of the metro area's fastest-growing residential and commercial submarkets, with year-over-year rent growth reaching approximately 7% in 2026, according to the Nevada Real Estate Group. The corridor near Flamingo Road wraps around major commercial hubs like UnCommons and Town Square, making it an increasingly attractive landing spot for retail and recreation businesses alike.
The regional population trend backs up the demand. Clark County's population stands at approximately 2.51 million in 2026 and is projected to add roughly 40,000 residents annually in 2026 and 2027, according to a forecast from UNLV's Center for Business and Economic Research. Infrastructure is trying to keep pace too — the Nevada Department of Transportation has carried out an $84.6 million widening project along the 215 Beltway between I-15 and Jones Boulevard, as reported by BNO News.
Not the Only Clay Game in Town
Common Ground Pottery isn't building in a vacuum. Las Vegas already has an established ceramics scene led by Clay Arts Vegas on Arville Street, which was founded in 2011 and provides studio access, supply distribution and public galleries, according to Clay Arts Vegas. Whether Southwest Las Vegas foot traffic will match the waitlist demand Henderson saw remains an open question as the new studio takes shape.
Mashore's business has also leaned into pricing and programming choices that reflect the valley's hunger for hands-on, social creative outlets. Studio memberships run $250 per month for unlimited access, with four-week courses priced around $250 and single-session workshops around $80, based on figures cited by Las Vegas Weekly. The studio has also branched into niche social programming, including a ceramic Singles Night workshop introduced in January 2026, and is slated to host international master potter Eric Landon of Copenhagen-based Tortus for two-day workshops in November as part of his 2026 U.S. tour.
