
The Hawai’i Island Police Department is calling on the community for assistance in the search for a missing teenager, Momi Leonard, 17, who has been classified as a runaway; Leonard was last seen on Kinoole Street in Hilo on the evening last Monday, according to a release from local authorities.
Those who are keeping an eye out for the young woman should know that she is of Asian/Filipino descent, stands about 5-foot-1, and is of medium build, weighing roughly 145 pounds, she has brown hair and hazel eyes, and when last observed she was dressed in a black hoodie, black Juicy Couture pajamas, and shoes that were both black and white.
The case has not drawn any widespread media attention, but the urgency in local law enforcement's request is palpable; they have disseminated details through the Hawaii Police Department, and anyone with information will step forward.
