Houston's airports are preparing for a busy holiday season, expecting 3.4 million passengers between on Thursday and January 6, a 7% increase from last year. George Bush Intercontinental Airport anticipates 2.7 million travelers, while William P. Hobby Airport xpects 755,000, according to KHOU

Houston airports are preparing for a busy holiday season with new improvements. Bush Intercontinental has opened an International Arrivals Curb to ease congestion, and Hobby Airport has upgraded security so passengers can keep laptops and liquids in their bags. "We’re going to be very busy," said Jim Szczesniak, Director of Houston Airports. The busiest day will be on Thursday and Friday, with over 200,000 passengers, while December 24, 25, 31, and January 1 are expected to be quieter, as reported by CW39

Houston Airports are helping travelers during the busy holiday season by having staff wear bright orange polos for easy visibility. “When you come into these large airports, they're confused on certain things. And so we've changed our staffing so that we now have our staff in orange polos, so that you can actually see them, and then you can ask them the questions,” said Szczesniak. Travelers are advised to arrive early, check flight and security updates online, and reserve parking ahead of time. Parking reservations can be made on the official websites for Bush IAH and Hobby Airport, as stated by KHOU
