Curry, who has a history of felony convictions, including drug possession and a previous firearm violation, is legally barred from owning guns or ammunition. Curry was arrested after a joint investigation by the Houston Police Department, the Department of Public Safety, and the Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Crime Gun Strike Force. Senior U.S. District Judge Sim Lake accepted his plea, and sentencing is set for March 14, 2025. "He has been and will remain in custody pending that hearing."
