Evan Hardman, 41, from Tomball, is in a Houston jail, facing charges for allegedly being involved in a murder-for-hire plot that led to the death of Dr. Hamid Mirshojae. Police say Dr. Mirshojae was shot in an "ambush-style murder," attack outside his clinic. Hardman, who is waiting to be extradited to Los Angeles, has been charged with murder, according to ABC13.
Ahang Mirshojae, 53, is accused of hiring Hardman to murder her ex-husband, Dr. Mirshojae, in a financially motivated crime. Hardman has been extradited to California to face charges. Ahang Mirshojae was arrested and her arraignment has been delayed. Her attorney, Donald Marks, stated, "I believe that Ms. Mirshojae is innocent and secondly, I believe the evidence will show she did not commit this crime." In addition to the murder charges, she is also facing charges for assaulting Dr. Mirshojae in May, as per ABC13.
Ashley Sweeting, 40, has been charged as an accessory after allegedly helping Hardman leave the crime scene. According to the D.A., "Dr. Mirshojae died from the gunshot. Sweeting allegedly drove Hardman to and from the scene of the crime and Jawed helped facilitate the murder and drove Hardman out of state a few days after the murder." Hardman is soon to be extradited to California, where legal proceedings will continue to uncover the details of the crime, as reported by CHRON.
