
A 21-year-old man faces serious charges after a confrontation with Harris County deputies during an arrest last Saturday. David Banda was pulled over for reckless driving on South Sam Houston Parkway East, as reported by Click2Houston.
During his arrest, Banda managed to slip his restraints to the front and tried to disarm a deputy constable. The situation escalated when he struck another deputy in the stomach and face. He was eventually subdued and arrested. Constable Mark Herman of Harris County Precinct 4 reported that Banda is now facing charges of attempting to disarm a police officer and assault on a public servant. Banda remains in custody at the Harris County Jail with a bond set at $60,000, as stated by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
"David Banda was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Attempt to Disarm a Police Officer and Assault on a Public Servant. His total bond was set at $60,000.00 out of the 177th District Court," according to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 on their Facebook page.
