A suspect has been arrested after a fatal crash last Sunday at 12800 Hempstead Highway in Houston. Terrell Juan Twitty, 52, is charged with intoxication manslaughter. The crash, which happened around 3:40 p.m., involved a black Jeep Grand Cherokee hitting a white Ford F-150. The 57-year-old driver of the Ford, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Houston Police Department.
The Houston Police Department said Twitty was speeding west on Hempstead Highway when his Jeep hit a Ford trying to cross into the eastbound lanes. The crash pushed both vehicles into the eastbound lanes. Twitty showed signs of intoxication and was treated for minor injuries at a hospital. After talking to the District Attorney’s office, he was arrested.
The identity of the person who died in a recent crash has not been released as authorities notify their family. A booking photo of Twitty has been made public. The driver of the Ford was pronounced dead at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics, as reported by the Houston Police Department.
