A man has been charged in connection with a recent fatal shooting in Houston. Marlon Weatherspoon, 30, faces murder charges after the death of 34-year-old Brandon Davis, who was found shot multiple times outside a residence in the 4100 block of Wuthering Heights Drive.

According to a news release from the Houston Police Department, officers responded to the shooting around 4:30 p.m. last Tuesday. Davis was discovered by HPD patrol officers, subsequently, paramedics from the Houston Fire Department pronounced him dead at the scene.

Weatherspoon turned himself in to authorities on Saturday, following an investigation that led to his identification as the suspect. The Harris County District Attorney's Office filed the charge the day after the incident.

Detectives C. Davidson and R. Bounds from the HPD Homicide Division are investigating the case. After Weatherspoon surrendered to the Harris County Jail, he was booked without any reported issues.
