A Houston man has been taken into custody in connection with the death of a woman at a local motel on Airline Drive, prosecutors charged him with murder. The suspect, identified as Myron Lynn Strambler, age 36, is facing charges following the discovery of Alicia Strambler, age 34, who was found deceased at the scene; the pair are purportedly married, as stated in an official news release from the Houston Police Department
According to the Houston Police Department Homicide Division, the incident was reported around 6:10 p.m. last Wednesday after HPD patrol officers responded to what was initially an assault-in-progress call at the aforementioned motel, the officers found Myron Strambler outside the room stating his wife needed medical help but when they found her inside the room lying on the restroom floor, unresponsive and with injuries indicative of blunt force trauma - a scene that authorities have described as "disarray." Houston Fire Department paramedics were summoned and subsequently pronounced her dead on the scene.
Following the preliminary investigation, officials at the Harris County District Attorney’s Office issued the murder charge against Mr. Strambler. The suspect was detained for questioning, thereafter, was transferred to the Harris County Jail, this was according to the report shared by the investigating detectives, R. Waterwall and C. Vaughn.
