A man was shot and killed in a Houston apartment complex. The case has now been turned over to a Harris County Grand Jury. Around 11:50 p.m., the incident occurred at 1445 Lakeside Estates Drive. The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences reported the death of a male 22-year-old on Wednesday. The victim's identity is being kept secret until his family is notified, according to the Houston Police Department.
Houston Police Department Homicide Division Detectives M. Barrow and J. Caten responded to swiftly act upon the incident report, arriving to find the young man with a gunshot wound. Despite the Houston Fire Department paramedics' efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. From the preliminary findings, it seems that a domestic argument with a 24-year-old woman may have been the reason for the the incident, as reported by the Houston Police Department. She is said to be cooperating with the investigation, suggesting self defense as a likely motive.
