A man in his 40s has died following a collision on South Braeswood Boulevard in Houston, according to the Houston Police Department. According to an official statement obtained by the City of Houston, the man was attempting to cross South Braeswood Boulevard around 6:40 p.m. when he was struck by a westbound gray Dodge Ram pickup truck. The pedestrian failed to yield the right of way, leading to the fatal incident. Sergeant J. Wu and Officer D. Jones of the HPD Vehicular Crimes Division responded to the scene to investigate.
After the incident, the driver, who was not impaired, cooperated with authorities, providing a statement and answering questions as part of the investigation.
